Salted Chocolate Dipped Figs

Figs are filled with antioxidants as is dark chocolate. Courtesy of Lucy Lord we're bringing you these decadent snacks that take minutes to make!

Perfect for a dinner party or for keeping in your fridge for those moments you fancy something sweet.

Sticky sweet figs combined with bitter smooth dark chocolate contrasting with flaked sea salt. Delicious!

Ingredients

8 figs
75g Vegan dark chocolate
Flaked sea salt, such as Maldon

Method

  1. Prepare a baking tray with some baking paper

  2. Melt 50g of the chocolate in a bowl over simmering water, remove from the heat and add in the other 25g, stirring until melted. This creates a good, thick and glossy consistency for dipping fruits

  3. Slice the figs in half lengthways and dip each fig into the melted chocolate, using a spatula or spoon to 'push' the melted chocolate up the fig

  4. Lay the dipped fig on the baking paper and repeat

  5. Sprinkle the salt over the dipped figs just as the chocolate is starting to set. If you do this too soon onto the melted chocolate, the salt crystals will dissolve - so best to work in batches
