Reset Your Routine

Reset Your Routine

Forget the New Year, Spring is officially the best time to reset your routine. While January is often seen as the only time to set your goals for the year, nature would suggest that the transitional season is the most natural time to embrace change. The season itself represents growth, inspiring us to shed all things old. This theme of renewal, paired with the increased hours of daylight spring brings, gives us the mood boost we need to embrace new habits.

So, we’re here to help you reset your routine, and show you that spring is the best time to kickstart your 2024.

Introduce New Habits

Mirror the fresh start of the new season and give your habits a spring clean. The optimism that spring brings makes us less resistant to change, meaning it’s the perfect time to put in place the habits that you’ve been putting off. As nature comes back to life, harness this energy and introduce positive habits into your daily life; whether that’s getting out of the house for a daily walk or leaving your phone out of the bedroom.

Plan For Growth

Some say January is the best time for goal setting and personal growth, but the real planning begins in Spring. In January, we feel sluggish after the festivities of Christmas and often feel pressured to map out our whole year while struggling with dark mornings and lack of energy. By leaving your goal setting until spring, you’ve got the unrealistic New Year’s resolutions out of the way and are full of enthusiasm for the year ahead. So, why not scent your space with one of our uplifting essential oils and sit down to plan what you’d like to achieve this year.

Get Outdoors

Getting outside
is so important for both our physical and mental wellbeing. And after months of the darker shorter days, embracing the great outdoors in spring and seeing the world come back to life is such a mood booster. Getting outdoors first thing is also a great way to keep your body clock regulated, which is key to resetting your routine and getting your best night’s sleep.

Embrace Change

Pushing yourself out of your comfort zone can be scary, but spring is the best time to embrace change. Because the season itself embodies renewal and growth, March is a great time to explore fresh possibilities or try something new. This is your sign to use the change of season to do that thing you’ve been thinking about, whether that’s a new exercise class, a creative workshop or just exploring something completely new.

Prioritise Your Sleep

Our sleep routines can look a little different in winter, with the lack of daylight leaving us feeling lethargic. So when spring arrives and the days get longer, it’s a great time to reset your sleep. And with the Clock Change springing time forwards by an hour, it’s important to realign our internal clock and nurture our body’s natural rhythms. You can do this by having a consistent sleep schedule (going to bed and waking at the same time each day), avoiding screens in the evening to keep the alerting blue light to a minimum and taking the time to create a relaxing sleep environment using our dreamy sleep scents so you can drift off peacefully.
