What is Green Friday?

Every year the chaos and confusion of Black Friday sales cause frantic spending and mass panic amongst the general public. As a brand that are committed to sustainable and eco-friendly practices, here at Aery Living we’re proud to support the Green Friday initiative instead.

From Aery's beginning back in 2018 and ever since, we've been driven by a passion for doing the right thing on behalf of the planet. There is an increased stress on both our planet and our daily lives and Aery Living works to reduce that through ensuring that our products, designs and practices are sustainable. For us, this is always going to be a process and journey with constant review of best practices. Some of the measures we have taken to guarantee this include making sure our products are free from: plastic where possible and always free from palm, paraffin and GMO’s. In addition to this, everything we stock is vegan, recyclable and will be delivered by a carbon neutral carrier.

Green Friday is all about investing in the things that really matter and giving back to the environment. As such, Aery Living has built a longstanding partnership with Ecologi that we’re very proud of. During this partnership, we have planted over 20,000 trees as well as offsetting 20 tonnes of CO2 equivalent!

Through our work with Ecologi, we’ve even funded projects that are specifically designed to support local communities and rainforests. These include mangrove planting in Madagascar, fitting solar panels in India and repairing waterholes in Eritrea. All of these projects are specially designed to benefit local communities, restore rainforests and bring about positive change on a huge scale. Find out more how Aery Living x Ecologi support people and the environment here.

Tree planting is one of the best ways to help tackle the climate crisis. Trees act like a sponge and absorb the carbon present in the atmosphere whilst also producing oxygen. A recent study suggests that forests could help keep global warming below 2°C by 2030. As well as this, trees also help to prevent flooding, support wildlife and improve soil quality.

Usually, we plant 1 tree for every online order. But this weekend we’re increasing this and planting 20 trees for every order from Aery Living. If all that’s not enough then you can also enjoy a massive 20% off everything as well!

The fight against climate change is often overwhelming and it can be hard to tell how you can make a difference on your own. By collectively trying to buy more sustainably, from more sustainable companies and from companies that actively work to make a difference we can all make a positive impact this green Friday.
